Another professorial title awarded at IB PAS

We are pleased to announce that our colleague, Anna Ronikier, has been awarded the title of Professor in Exact and Natural Sciences in the discipline of biological sciences by the President of the Republic of Poland, pursuant to a decision issued on 5 May 2025.

Prof. Anna Ronikier is a mycologist specializing in the taxonomy, nomenclature, and biogeography of fungi and slime molds, with particular interest in nivicolous slime molds — a fascinating yet poorly studied group of organisms associated with mountain ecosystems and ephemeral habitats forming in spring along the edges of melting snow.
